The more things change...

Given Buffalo’s infamous history of bad lucks in sports, it’s a little amazing that I don’t react to the beginning of every Buffalo Bills season with dread. After eight years and counting of watching nothing but other people’s teams in the AFC Playoffs each January (not to mention the Bills’ two playoff-free seasons before I arrived in Buffalo), you’d think the direness of the Buffalo Bills’ 2010 season prospects wouldn’t be such a surprise.

Most of the posts on this site are focused on the Buffalo Sabres or the NHL in general, hence my taking the name of this site from an oft-repeated call by Rick Jeanneret. Every now and then, though, it’s nice to acknowledge that yes, Buffalo does have another sports team I root heavily for, albeit without the reward of a playoff berth. With the 2010 NFL Draft beginning tomorrow, now’s as good a time as any to discuss what the Buffalo Bills need to accomplish with this year’s draft.
