I don’t really think this is one of those sites where it’s really that important to know that much about the person writing it but here goes, anyhow. My name is Alex Holt and I’m currently a college student in Central New York. Some of you may know me from my work for the late, great sports blog The Rookies as “Skating Tomato”, a lot of you don’t know me at all. Anyhow, I’m a diehard fan of the Buffalo Sabres and a follower of the NHL in general so this is my blog about the team, with occasional nods to other parts of Buffalo sports and similar miscellanea and a title that comes from one of the frequent calls of legendary Sabres commentator Rick Jeanneret. Sometimes you’ll get overlong posts from me, other times, such as after a lot of losses, I might not be up to a full post at all. Anyhow, I hope you like reading about one of the most promising teams in what is, for all its missteps and all the disparaging comments about it, one of the most exciting sports out there. Enjoy.
